First post-itis

Hello world,
My name is Amber, aka HookedonNeedles.
I am 21, psychology major in college, and i work as a computer assistant at my university. I have been crocheting since i was a child, and i just began to teach myself to knit. I also have done (and do on occasion) various other kinds of crafts that include cross stitch, latch hook, beading, some felting, and many other things. I am a very spiritual person, and live my life in God's eyes.
I have had some hard things come my way in life but i've always found that crocheting and knitting (especially) help ease me through whatever comes my way. Most recently i had a rough time dealing with the stress i was going through so i decided i'd attempt to knit a sock (granted, i'd only been knitting for about a month). I was successful and it made me happy to know that through my pain i was able to create something! I am currently working on the second on. I've been knitting for about 2 months now. I currently am working on my second sock (made from sugar and cream, light yellow cotton), a scarf made from some faux chenelle yarn with beading, and a prayer shawl i am knitting for my Uncle's father who is going through a very hard time right now (it is actually a throw, but i call it a shawl).

I never know what to say in the first posts. I always wonder if i'm saying too much or if i'm not saying enough. haha

At some point i'mgoing to be putting on some pictures of crochet patterns and projects i've created, and knitting projects i've completed. Ilove free patterns, and i try to give them when i have some :)

God Bless any one who reads this,
Ciao
